As the concluding event of the project Art Tools. Re-readings, the discussion workshops All for the artists, but with the artists, during September 23 – 25, will be presented at the Col•legi Major Rector Peset of the University of Valencia.
All for the artists, but with the artists makes reference to the importance artists have within the cultural and artistic framework and claims, in a certain way, for the right of their opinions to be considered in the decision-making process of cultural policies. The aim of these discussion tables at the workshops is to deal with three determining aspects in the art process: the craft of the artist nowadays at a time of an obvious hybridisation of art techniques and practices; the framework formed by the market, critique and art institutions as inseparable elements of creative activity in our current cultural industries; and the production and dissemination processes artists propose as a parallel activity to their artistic task and which become alternative modes to the official ones. |
